Bodhi Academy scholarships for children in need.
Our Effort
Since October 2015, Bodhi Academy has been sharing mindfulness practices in an academic setting with K-8 students through the Integrated Mindfulness After-School Program (iMAP). We guide our students to a happier, healthier future by tending to their emotional well-being as well as their academic growth. Every 15 minutes at our center, we hear the bell of mindfulness being invited -- a reminder for students to pause whatever they are doing in order to breathe and check-in with themselves. Such daily practices, when applied diligently, equip students with the ability to remain calm and learn how to cope with stress, conflict, and react more rationally.
We have seen mindfulness take root in our students. And now, we need your help reaching out to children in greater need of our services.
The Need
Nearly 1 in 5 children in Orange County come from low-income households, and more than 2,200 children are in foster care. Mindfulness can help provide these under-served children with tools to cope with stress, conflict, and adversity. These children would benefit even more from the program; however, they often have limited access to our services.
Your Support
Please support us in extending the accessibility of our services to these under-served children populations by contributing to the Bodhi Academy Scholarship Campaign.
Bodhi Academy will contribute 1/3 of the scholarship funds, and we hope to raise 2/3 of the scholarship funds, which is a total of $50,000. This amount can award up to 25 scholarships for each school year.
